On the sale of antiques, we offer discounts based on your method of payment.

What about shipping?
• We will follow any instructions you may have for packing and shipping, or we are happy to arrange it all for you.
• The fee for packing and shipping depends on size, weight, method of delivery and the packing materials required for the safe arrival of your merchandise.
• Packing is so important to the safe arrival of an item that we sometimes use a professional packing service.
Can I return items for a refund?
For purchases made over the internet, we will refund your purchase price (less any shipping or delivery expense) as long as:
• You return the item (including any keys, presentations boxes, etc.) within 7 days after the item arrives at your address.
• The item (including any keys, presentations boxes, etc.) is in the same condition it was in when you purchased it.
• The method of refund is identical to the method of payment (except for wire transfers, in which case we will send you a refund check).
For in-store purchases, we will refund your purchase price (less any shipping or delivery expense) as long as:
• You return the item (including any keys, presentations boxes, etc.) before the close of business on the 2nd day after the sale.
• The item (including any keys, presentations boxes, etc.) is in the same condition it was in when you purchased it.
• The method of refund is identical to the method of payment (except for wire transfers, in which case we will send you a refund check).
Can I buy on layaway?
• Yes! We are always happy to help you purchase fine antiques.
• There is never a charge for purchasing on layaway, but the first 10% of the purchase price (plus sales tax, if applicable) becomes nonrefundable after 30 days.
• Here's how it works. Your first payment will be for at least 10% of the purchase price. After that, you will pay on any schedule that is convenient for you.
• If, after the first 30 days, you change your mind about purchasing, then we get to keep 10% of the purchase price (plus sales tax on that 10%, if applicable).
• If we are the ones who cancel the layaway agreement, then we will return all of the money you paid on the item in question, including that first 10%.
Do I have to pay sales tax?
In Texas, you must pay sales tax unless . . .
• The item is shipped to you by common carrier (U.S. mail, UPS, FedEx, etc.) to an address outside of Texas, or
• You sign a Texas Resale Certificate showing your Sales & Use Tax Permit number.
On custom framing, we offer a 5% discount if you pay for your order 100% up-front. (The other way to pay is half now, half later.)
On the sale of brand new items, we do not offer any discounts, but our prices are oftentimes below standard retail on these items.
Can I take the item "on approval"?

And then, there's the security issue. Do you really want strangers, or even your neighbors, to know the value of items in your home?
Please note, though, that we have published our prices for brand new, easily replaceable items (lamps and shades, for example).
In our galleries, all items are tagged with descriptions, probable dates of manufacture and prices.
Why do you delay shipping on credit card purchases?
The bank that issued your credit card will oftentimes want your verbal confirmation before authorizing payment. So even though our card reader says "APPROVED", the card issuer may withhold funding, or even refuse to send the money.
Rarely, the card issuer will withhold funds until it gets verbal confirmation from us that the sale really did take place.
We've noticed that the larger the purchase amount, the longer it takes to receive the money.
As soon as the money posts to our account, you can count on us to ship by the next business day — and to keep you informed about what's going on and why.
